Seacoast Contra is seeking passionate individuals to fill key volunteer roles. Our dance is growing—which is wonderful! With more dancers each month, we need a few more hands and hearts to keep things running smoothly.

1. 🪑 Setup Crew (7:00–8:00 PM, Before the Dance)

Love contra dancing and want to help out? Join our Setup Crew at Seacoast Contra Dance in Newfields!

You’ll help:

• Set up chairs and signage

• Organize the entrance area

• Assist the sound engineer as needed

• Sweep the floor before the dance

2. 🧹 Breakdown Crew (10:30–11:15 PM, After the Dance)

Want to support the dance community? Join our Breakdown Crew at Seacoast Contra Dance in Newfields!

You’ll help:

• Sweep the floor after the dance

• Put away chairs, set back to meeting configuration 

• Assist sound engineer as needed

• Tidy up the space

3. Door Greeter (Two Needed):

Be a Door Hero (and Dance for Free!)
We’ve got a two-part mission—and you only need to do half:

🟢 Shift 1: The Friendly Face (7:00–9:15 PM)
Smile, wave, hand out flyers like a pro. Help new dancers feel less like deer in headlights and more like groovy dance floor champions. You’ll also pass out “I’m a New Dancer” buttons (adorable and functional). After 9:15, you’re off-duty and free to dance your socks off.

🔵 Shift 2: The Button Bouncer (9:15–end)
Dance your heart out early, then step in at 9:15 to collect those buttons like precious treasure. You’ll also help tidy up and bring it all home. (No pressure, but this job has strong final boss energy. Both shifts get you in free—because you’re awesome.  Sign Up Here

3. Dance Angel:

Be a Dance Angel! 
Float in with a warm smile and help new dancers feel like stars on the floor! As a Dance Angel, you’ll welcome newcomers, answer their questions, introduce them to friendly faces, and maybe even whisk them onto the dance floor for a spin or two. You’ll also be there to support the dance manager and keep the good vibes flowing. Your job? Make sure every new dancer feels seen, supported, and ready to fall in love with contra. Halo optional.
